Cloud-Centric Modernization: Exploring the Pain-Points and the Promise

Cloud is expected to play a central role in IT modernization efforts across government, which is both logical and daunting. On one hand, agencies have done extensive work with the cloud in recent years and so they have a good understanding of what is entailed. On the other hand, with IT modernization, agencies are expected to adopt cloud on a whole new scale, creating a cloud-centric IT enterprise.

What are the challenges involved with a more concerted push to the cloud—and what new opportunities does it present for improving the performance and efficiency of operations? Join us on Tuesday, March 5 from 8:00-10:00am at The W Hotel in Washington, D.C. for a breakfast roundtable discussion that will provide participants with an opportunity to talk about how they see cloud-based modernization playing out in their agencies.

Potential topics to be addressed include:

  • Strategies for modernizing work processes.
  • Opportunities to change how employees work and collaborate through cloud-based Unified Communications (UC) and related capabilities.
  • Strategies and pitfalls in creating a more flexible IT environment.

You'll hear from:

Keith Trippie, Ret. DHS SES, Founder: GotUrSix TV

Mitch Robinson, Senior Director, Federal Cloud Sales, Avaya
